A cyclone weighing 25MT had to be lifted in the vertical position to make it to the elevation height of 150m was the biggest ever vertical lift assignment for SML. Demag CC2800-1 with HSWSL configuration with the main boom length of 96m, SL C/wt of 100MT, and lifting capacity of 600MT carried out the load at this Cement plant works. It was vital to maintain the stability of the crane as there were frequent encounters of heavy wind gusts.
The lifts were planned during the period when wind speed was less to eliminate any unforeseen risk at the site.
